The RA line came out this morning, one less wire in him. :) They did an echo of him after and they said that he looks better then they could have imagined. They also took away the oxygen tube in his nose because he has had such great results of the oxygen in his blood. He is taking a bottle great, can definitely feel where he has missed it. And he is getting to sleep on mommas chest again, which is a wonderful feeling for both. Now just waiting for the doctors to send him home. :)

Well little man was moved to east unit, which is where we go just before discharge. He is eating so good now and everything else has progressed as well. Now he is cuddled up to his Aunt Laura and loving it. Hopefully we will go home soon.

Theo has developed a fever today which they are concerned about because there is no obvious source of infection.
His lung is still not improved even with the increased respiratory therapy so that is something else that they are keeping an eye on right now.
Also, there is still blood in his stool which was the sign that his intestines had been slightly damaged. So, for today, he is still on the IV nutritional fluid instead of formula.

Theo's lungs
Theo is having trouble keeping his right lung as clear as it should be. They are increasing his respiratory therapy which includes what they call "bopping". Basically that means that they are firmly patting his chest and his back to break up the gunk that is accumulating in his lung.

Small step in the wrong direction.
The doctors are now putting Theo back on the nutrient rich liquid through his IV instead of feeding him formula through the NG tube in his stomach. This is because he has some damage to his intestines due to the increased blood flow. This is a problem that should correct itself over time. They plan to keep him on the fluid for a few days before trying the formula again.
