Just a little history...

Theodore Lee Hein was born a healthy, 6lb 3 oz baby boy on August 30, 2012.

When Theo was almost 1 week old, his mom was told that he had a problem with his heart that would need surgery. That surgery was to repair a coarctation of the aorta which means that part of his aorta was too narrow. Theo came through that surgery like a champ and recovered very well.

Everything seemed to be going very well until a routine cardiovascular check up revealed that he now has another issue with his heart. At 10 weeks, Theo was diagnosed with Shone's Complex (also known as Shone’s Syndrome, Disorder, or Anomaly) which is a very rare heart condition. Shone's complex consists of 4 separate heart defects but in many cases, the patient will experience only some of the 4 defects.
Theo was diagnosed with Shone's on Friday, November 2nd and by Monday the 5th he was scheduled for his second surgery.
